Description

The Turkeytini is a festive and indulgent cocktail perfect for holiday celebrations. Combining rich flavors of Baileys, bourbon, chocolate liqueur, and Kahlúa with a hint of milk, this cocktail is elegantly swirled with chocolate syrup and garnished with freshly grated nutmeg, making it a delicious and visually appealing drink option. Optional Oreo turkey garnish adds a charming seasonal touch.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Turkeytini Cocktail

  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1 1/2 oz. Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 1/2 oz. bourbon
  • 1 oz. chocolate liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. Kahlúa coffee liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. milk
  • Ice, as needed

For Garnish

  • Grated fresh nutmeg, for garnish
  • 1 Oreo turkey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Drizzle chocolate syrup inside a martini or coupe glass, creating a swirling design along the walls. Place the glass in the freezer to chill and set the syrup while you prepare the cocktail.
  2. Mix the Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine Baileys Irish Cream, bourbon, chocolate liqueur, Kahlúa, and milk. Add ice to fill the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes very frosty, ensuring the drink is well chilled and mixed.
  3. Strain and Serve: Remove the prepared glass from the freezer. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glass carefully. Garnish by grating fresh nutmeg over the top for a warm spice aroma. Optionally, add an Oreo turkey on the rim or as a festive decoration. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a richer texture, substitute the milk with half-and-half or cream.
  • The Oreo turkey garnish is optional but adds a fun seasonal flair to the drink presentation.
  • Ensure to use fresh nutmeg for the best aromatic and flavor experience; pre-ground nutmeg may be less potent.
  • This cocktail contains alcohol; drink responsibly and do not serve to minors.
  • Can be made ahead by prepping the glass in advance and shaking the cocktail just before serving.
