Description

These Sweet & Spicy Ground Turkey & Broccoli Bowls are a delicious and easy-to-make meal that combines savory ground turkey with a flavorful sweet and spicy sauce, served with nutritious broccoli over a bed of rice. Customize the heat level to suit your taste!


Ingredients

For the Ground Turkey:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb ground turkey (lean or extra lean)

For the Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 to 4 teaspoons Sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger

For the Bowls:

  • 12 oz Broccoli Florets, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 3 cups cooked brown rice, or rice of your choice

Garnishes (optional):

  • Sesame seeds
  • Green onions
  • Extra Sriracha sauce
  • Extra sweet Chili Sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the Turkey: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground turkey until fully cooked.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a glass measuring cup or bowl, whisk together the chili sauce, honey, Sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, and grated ginger. Pour the sauce over the cooked turkey and simmer until slightly thickened.
  3. Prepare the Broccoli: Steam the broccoli until just tender.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Divide the rice, ground turkey mixture, and steamed broccoli among 4 bowls.
  5. Garnish: Finish with a drizzle of additional chili sauce and/or Sriracha, sesame seeds, and green onions if desired.

Notes
