Description

This Sweet and Spicy Cauliflower recipe combines crispy baked cauliflower florets with a delicious homemade honey-chili sauce, creating a perfect balance of flavors.


Ingredients

Cauliflower:

  • 1 head of cauliflower cut into florets
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • olive oil for spritzing

Sweet and Spicy Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic

Garnish:

  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and spray with nonstick spray.
  2. Bread the cauliflower: Beat eggs in a bowl. In another bowl, mix bread crumbs and flour. Dip cauliflower in egg, then coat with bread crumbs. Place on the wire rack and spray with olive oil.
  3. Bake the cauliflower: Roast for 25-30 minutes until golden and crispy.
  4. Make the sauce: Heat honey, chili garlic sauce, sugar, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic in a saucepan until combined. Let it cool to thicken.
  5. Coat cauliflower: Drizzle cauliflower with sauce. Garnish with green onions and serve!

Notes

  • For extra heat, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • Adjust the sweetness and spiciness of the sauce to your taste.
