  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2 large potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (1 pound)
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup green peas, frozen
  • Black pepper, to season

Instructions
