Description

This Shrimp Alfredo Pizza combines creamy Alfredo sauce, succulent shrimp, fresh spinach, shallots, and cherry tomatoes atop a crispy homemade dough, all topped with melted mozzarella cheese and garnished with fresh parsley and parmesan. Perfect for a delicious and indulgent homemade pizza night.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Dough

  • 1 pound frozen pizza dough (thawed)

Toppings

  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • 1 ½ cups extra small shrimp, cooked, skins and tails removed
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • ½ shallot, thinly sliced
  • 12 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 400º Fahrenheit (204º Celsius) to ensure it is properly heated for baking the pizza.
  2. Prepare the dough: Roll out the thawed pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer the rolled dough onto a sheet of parchment paper for easier handling.
  3. Apply Alfredo sauce: Spread a layer of Alfredo sauce over the center of the pizza dough, leaving about an inch border around the edges for the crust.
  4. Add toppings: Pat the cooked shrimp dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Evenly distribute the shrimp, fresh spinach, thinly sliced shallot, and halved cherry tomatoes over the sauce-covered dough.
  5. Top with cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over all the toppings to cover them completely.
  6. Bake the pizza: Place the pizza, with the parchment paper, on a baking sheet or pizza stone and bake in the preheated oven for 14-16 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbling, and the crust is cooked through and lightly golden.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • The pizza is best served fresh out of the oven while the crust is crispy and cheese is warm and gooey.
  • The shrimp should be cooked beforehand to prevent overcooking during pizza baking.
  • Using parchment paper helps with easy transfer and cleanup.
  • Customize by adding other toppings such as mushrooms or bell peppers if desired.
  • Calories are estimated based on cutting the pizza into 8 slices; nutritional values may vary depending on ingredients used.
