Ingredients

Tortellini:

  • 9-ounce package refrigerated three cheese tortellini

Sausage:

  • 1lb 3oz package brats (I used Johnsonville Brats)

Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook Tortellini: Boil tortellini according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Sausage: Cook brats in a large saucepan until fully cooked. Slice and set aside.
  3. Prepare Sauce: In the same pan with sausage juices, melt butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook for 1 minute. Add flour, whisk until browned. Gradually add milk and cream, whisk until thickened. Stir in cheeses until melted.
  4. Combine and Serve: Add sausage and tortellini to the sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.

  • You can customize the dish with your favorite type of tortellini or sausage.
  • Adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the red pepper flakes.
