Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Base
- 1 box of brownie mix
- Required oil (as per brownie mix instructions)
- Required water (as per brownie mix instructions)
- Required eggs (as per brownie mix instructions)
Decorations
- 16 pretzel twists
- 16 candy eyes
- 8 red M&M candies
- 1 Tablespoon chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven according to the directions on the box of brownie mix. Spray a round springform pan with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking, and set it aside.
- Prepare and Bake Brownie Batter: Follow the package instructions to prepare the brownie batter by mixing the brownie mix with the required oil, water, and eggs. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake as directed until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, not wet batter. Once baked, place the pan on a wire rack and allow the brownies to cool completely.
- Release and Slice Brownies: After the brownies have cooled, carefully run a thin knife or rubber spatula around the edge of the pan to loosen them before releasing the springform side. Using a sharp knife, slice the brownies into 8 equal wedge-shaped pieces, similar to cutting a pie.
- Melt the Chocolate: Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, stir, then microwave for additional 30-second increments as needed until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Attach Candy Eyes: Using a butter knife, spread a small dab of melted chocolate on the back of two candy eyes and gently press them onto the front of a brownie slice to form the reindeer’s eyes.
- Add Pretzel Antlers: Spread a small amount of melted chocolate on the bottoms of two pretzel twists, then press them onto the top corners of the brownie slice to create the antlers.
- Attach M&M Noses: Place a small dot of melted chocolate on each red M&M candy and press them onto the tip of each brownie slice to form the reindeer’s nose.
- Set Chocolate and Serve: Allow the chocolate to set and harden before serving. Once the decorations are secure, enjoy your festive reindeer brownies!
Notes
- Store the brownies tightly covered or in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. If you stack the brownies, separate each layer with parchment or wax paper to prevent sticking.
- For longer storage, refrigerate the brownies for up to 1 week.
- To achieve the cleanest cuts, chill the brownies in the fridge for 1-2 hours before slicing. Use a sharp chef’s knife and wipe it clean between each cut to maintain neat edges.
