Description

These peach fritters are a delightful treat with a crispy exterior and a tender, peach-filled center. Perfect for breakfast or dessert!


Ingredients

Fritters

  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) heavy whipping cream
  • 3 ounces vanilla yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 can (15.25 ounces) peaches, diced and juice reserved for glaze
  • Vegetable or canola oil, for frying

Glaze

  • 1 1/4 cups (150 g) confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 36 teaspoons reserved peach juice, (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peach Fritters – In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, mix the wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients, fold in peaches, fry in oil until golden brown.
  2. Glaze – Mix confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and peach juice to make a pourable glaze. Drizzle over cooled fritters.

Notes

  • Make sure the oil is at the right temperature for frying.
  • Adjust sweetness of glaze to your preference by adding more or less peach juice.
