Bacon:
- 5 slices bacon, chopped
Cream Cheese Mixture:
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack, divided
- 2 jalapeños, minced
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Bagels:
- 3 bagels, halved
- 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cook bacon until crispy in a skillet over medium heat. Drain and chop.
- Prepare the cream cheese mixture: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, white cheddar, 1/2 cup Monterey Jack, minced jalapeños, garlic powder, chopped bacon, salt, and pepper.
- Assemble and bake: Spread the cream cheese mixture on halved bagels, top with remaining Monterey Jack, and bake for 10-12 minutes until warmed through and cheese is melted. Garnish with jalapeño slices before serving.
