Description

These Jalapeño Popper Bagels are a delicious twist on a classic favorite. Creamy, cheesy, and just the right amount of spicy, they make for a perfect breakfast or snack.


Ingredients

Bacon:

  • 5 slices bacon, chopped

Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack, divided
  • 2 jalapeños, minced
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Bagels:

  • 3 bagels, halved
  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 350ºF. Cook bacon until crispy in a skillet over medium heat. Drain and chop.
  2. Prepare the cream cheese mixture: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, white cheddar, 1/2 cup Monterey Jack, minced jalapeños, garlic powder, chopped bacon, salt, and pepper.
  3. Assemble and bake: Spread the cream cheese mixture on halved bagels, top with remaining Monterey Jack, and bake for 10-12 minutes until warmed through and cheese is melted. Garnish with jalapeño slices before serving.
