Ingredients:
- 1 cup steel cut oats
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or almond butter for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to the Instant Pot. Combine steel cut oats, water, pumpkin puree, salt, vanilla, pumpkin pie spice, and maple syrup in the Instant Pot.
- Close the lid and ensure the valve is in the sealing position. Secure the lid and set the valve to sealing.
- Pressure Cook for 4 minutes. Set the Instant Pot to ‘Pressure Cook’ mode for 4 minutes.
- Natural Release for 8 minutes. Allow the pressure to release naturally for 8 minutes.
- Quick Release any remaining pressure. After 8 minutes, move the valve to release any remaining pressure.
- Stir the oatmeal. Give the oatmeal a stir; it will thicken as it cools.
