- 2 cups Chex cereal (corn)
- 2 cups Pretzels
- 1½ cups Bugles
- 1 cup Pecans
- ¾ cup Candy corn
- ¼ cup Reese’s Pieces or M&M’s (Fall mix)
Instructions
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large microwave-safe bowl, mix the Chex cereal, Bugles, pretzels, and pecans together and set aside.
- Prepare Pumpkin Spice Glaze: Melt butter in the microwave, then whisk in brown sugar, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice until smooth and lump-free.
- Coat Mix: Pour the pumpkin spice glaze over the dry ingredients and gently toss using your hands to evenly coat without breaking the pieces.
- First Microwave Session: Microwave the mixture on high for 2 minutes.
- Toss Mix: Remove and gently toss the mix with a rubber spatula or spoon to redistribute the glaze.
- Second Microwave Session: Return the bowl to the microwave and heat for another 2 minutes on high.
- Toss Again: Remove and gently toss once more to ensure even coating.
- Final Microwave Session: Heat the mixture for 1 additional minute in the microwave.
- Cool Mixture: Spread the hot mixture onto a nonstick baking pan or parchment paper and let it cool for about 5-10 minutes.
- Add Candy: After cooling, mix in the candy corn and Reese’s Pieces, then enjoy your festive Halloween treat.
