Celebrate Halloween with these festive Cinnamon Rolls featuring a rich cinnamon-brown sugar butter sauce, creamy orange-tinted cream cheese frosting, and fun spooky decorations like candy eyes and Halloween sprinkles. Perfect for a holiday breakfast or party treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Cinnamon Rolls

  • 2 (5 count) cans refrigerated grands cinnamon rolls
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 4 Tbsp butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Frosting

  • 2 icings from pre-made cinnamon rolls
  • 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 Tbsp butter, softened
  • Orange food coloring, as needed

Toppings

  • Candy eyes
  • Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Arrange Cinnamon Rolls: Place the refrigerated Grands cinnamon rolls into the prepared baking dish, spacing them evenly.
  3. Add Cream: Pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream evenly over the cinnamon rolls, making sure to pour some cream between each roll to keep them moist.
  4. Make Cinnamon Sugar Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, melt 4 tablespoons of butter, then mix in ⅓ cup brown sugar and ½ teaspoon cinnamon until well combined.
  5. Pour Mixture Over Rolls: Drizzle the cinnamon-sugar butter mixture evenly over the cinnamon rolls in the baking dish.
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until the rolls are cooked through and bubbly.
  7. Cool: Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
  8. Prepare Frosting: In a medium bowl, combine 4 tablespoons softened butter and 4 ounces room temperature cream cheese. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  9. Add Pre-made Icing and Powdered Sugar: Stir in the two containers of pre-made cinnamon roll icing followed by 1 cup powdered sugar. Whisk until creamy and well incorporated.
  10. Tint Frosting: Add a few drops of orange food coloring to the frosting, mixing until the color is evenly distributed. Add more drops until you achieve your desired Halloween orange shade.
  11. Frost Rolls: Spread the orange cream cheese frosting over the completely cooled cinnamon rolls evenly.
  12. Decorate: Top the frosted rolls with candy eyes and Halloween sprinkles for a fun and spooky finish.
  13. Serve: Serve immediately and enjoy your festive Halloween cinnamon rolls!

Notes

  • Make sure the cinnamon rolls are completely cooled before frosting to prevent the frosting from melting and sliding off.
  • If desired, substitute heavy cream with whole milk, but the rolls may be less rich.
  • Use gel-based food coloring for a more vibrant orange without thinning the frosting.
  • Leftover cinnamon rolls can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
