Description

A delicious and hearty English Muffin Breakfast Pizza that combines the flavors of breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, creamy gravy, and melted cheddar cheese on toasted English muffins. Perfect for a satisfying morning meal or brunch!

English Muffin Breakfast Pizza:

  • 1 Package of English Muffins
  • 8 Eggs
  • 1 lb Breakfast Sausage
  • 8 oz Thinly Sliced Mild Cheddar Cheese

Sawmill Gravy:

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/4 cup Sausage Drippings (add butter if needed)
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat: Cook breakfast sausage in a cast iron pan until well done. Remove from pan and reserve ¼ cup of fat.
  2. Make Sawmill Gravy: In the same skillet, add flour to the drippings. Cook and stir over medium heat until golden. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Cook until thickened.
  3. Toast English Muffins: Lightly toast English muffins while making gravy.
  4. Scramble Eggs: In a non-stick skillet, scramble eggs with a dash of milk for fluffiness.
  5. Assemble Pizzas: Preheat broiler. On a baking sheet, top toasted English muffins with sawmill gravy, scrambled eggs, cheese slices, and sausage.
  6. Broil: Toast under broiler until cheese is bubbly and melted.
