Description

These Easy Candy Corn Jello Shots are a festive, layered gelatin treat featuring vibrant white, orange, and yellow layers flavored with whipped vodka. Perfect for Halloween or any fun party, these creamy, boozy jello shots mimic the look of candy corn while being smooth, sweet, and easy to make with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

White Layer

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 envelopes Knox Gelatin
  • 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

Orange Layer

  • 1 small box orange Jell-O
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 envelope Knox Gelatin
  • 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

Yellow Layer

  • 1 small box lemon Jell-O
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbsp. sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 envelope Knox Gelatin
  • 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka

Additional

  • 2 loaf pans
  • cooking spray for greasing pans

Instructions

  1. Make White Layer: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup water and 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk. Whisk until smooth. Sprinkle 2 envelopes of Knox gelatin on top and let sit for 1 minute to bloom. Place over medium heat, stirring continuously for about 2 minutes until the gelatin dissolves completely without boiling. Test mixture to ensure it is smooth and not grainy. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup Pinnacle Whipped Vodka.
  2. Set White Layer: Lightly grease two loaf pans with cooking spray. Divide the white mixture evenly between pans (about 1 cup each). Refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until the layer is slightly firm but still sticky to the touch.
  3. Make Orange Layer: In the same saucepan, combine 1 cup water and the orange Jell-O powder. Add 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk and whisk until fully combined. Sprinkle 1 envelope Knox gelatin over the surface and let sit for 1 minute to bloom. Heat over medium heat, stirring for approximately 2 minutes until gelatin is dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Avoid boiling. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup whipped vodka, whisking to prevent separation.
  4. Set Orange Layer: Carefully pour the orange mixture over the chilled white layer in each loaf pan (about 1 cup per pan). Return to refrigerator for 30 minutes until the orange layer is slightly firm but sticky.
  5. Make Yellow Layer: Repeat the process with 1 cup water and lemon Jell-O powder in the saucepan. Add 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk, whisk and let gelatin bloom for 1 minute. Heat and stir over medium heat for 2 minutes until dissolved, don’t boil. Remove from heat and incorporate 1 cup whipped vodka. Whisk well.
  6. Set Yellow Layer: Pour the yellow mixture evenly over the orange layer in each loaf pan. Place pans back in the refrigerator and chill for at least 3 hours, or until fully firm and set.
  7. Unmold and Slice: To remove the layered jello shots, briefly place the loaf pans in a small puddle of very hot water for about 30 seconds to loosen. Run a butter knife gently around the edges to release. Invert the loaf pans onto a cutting board or large plate.
  8. Serve: Slice the layered jello into loaf-sized slices. Then cut those slices into triangular pieces that resemble candy corn. Serve chilled and enjoy responsibly.

Notes

  • Do not boil the gelatin mixtures to avoid grainy texture; gentle heat until dissolved is key.
  • Use a light layer of cooking spray on pans for easier removal.
  • The gelatin shots need full setting time, especially the final layer, to ensure clean slices.
  • Substitute whipped vodka with any flavored vodka if desired.
  • Adjust alcohol quantity for preference, but reduce liquid amounts to maintain firmness.
