Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Dip
- 1 (12.3-oz) round brie cheese, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup shredded white cheddar
- 1 sprig rosemary
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- Drizzle of honey for garnish
Biscuits
- 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated biscuits
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- Kosher salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare Biscuits: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut each biscuit in half and roll each half into a ball. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and freshly chopped parsley. Arrange the biscuit balls in a ring around the edge of a medium oven-safe skillet, brush each biscuit generously with the parsley butter mixture, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
- Add Brie and Bake: Place the brie wheel in the center of the biscuit ring. Using a paring knife, carefully remove the top rind of the brie to help it melt evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the brie is soft and melty.
- Combine and Melt Cheese Mixture: Remove the skillet from the oven, add the cranberry sauce and shredded white cheddar to the melted brie. Gently fold the cranberry and cheddar into the brie until combined, smoothing the cheese mixture into an even layer. Place a sprig of rosemary on top. Return the skillet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheddar has melted.
- Garnish and Serve: Once baked, drizzle the dip with honey for a touch of sweetness. Serve the dip hot alongside the buttery biscuits for dipping.
Notes
- Removing the brie rind helps the cheese melt more uniformly and allows flavors to blend better.
- Use freshly chopped parsley for a bright, fresh herb flavor in the biscuit butter.
- Feel free to substitute rosemary with thyme or omit if not desired.
- You can prepare this dish in a cast iron or any oven-safe skillet for best results.
- Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
