Description

These Chocolate Christmas Tree Cake Truffles are a festive and delicious treat made by crumbling Little Debbie chocolate Christmas Tree Cakes into a soft dough, mixing in colorful sprinkles, and then dipping the formed truffles in rich melted semi-sweet chocolate. Finished with a drizzle of white chocolate and extra sprinkles, these bite-sized delights are perfect for holiday celebrations and easy to make in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 1 box Little Debbie Chocolate Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles, plus extra for topping

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 & 1/3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 3 tablespoons white chocolate chips, melted, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Base: Unwrap all the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix into Dough: Using a handheld mixer, blend the cakes until they form a crumbly soft dough. Mix in 3 tablespoons of festive sprinkles evenly into the dough.
  3. Form Truffles: Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the dough and roll each in the palm of your hand to create round truffles. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue until all the dough is used.
  4. Melt Semi-Sweet Chocolate: Place the semi-sweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Dip Truffles: Using a chocolate dipping fork or regular fork, dip each truffle into the melted semi-sweet chocolate to coat completely. Place back on the baking sheet.
  6. Melt White Chocolate for Drizzling: Put the white chocolate chips into a piping bag or a zip-top bag. Microwave for 30 seconds, then massage the bag to melt more evenly. If not fully melted, microwave an additional 30 seconds. Snip a small tip off the bag.
  7. Decorate and Chill: Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the dipped truffles, top immediately with extra sprinkles, and chill in the refrigerator until the chocolate sets.

Notes

  • Use a parchment-lined baking sheet to prevent sticking while the chocolate sets.
  • For easier dipping, warm the chocolate chips slowly and stir frequently to avoid burning.
  • The white chocolate drizzle is optional but adds a festive look and a touch of sweetness.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the fridge; they can be kept fresh for up to one week.
  • These truffles are perfect as holiday party favors or dessert treats.
