Description

Delicious Carne Asada Fries, featuring marinated grilled meat on a bed of crispy fries topped with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream for a mouthwatering meal.


Ingredients

Marinade

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed or diced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground chipotle chili pepper OR 1 teaspoon finely chopped, canned chipotle pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped

Meat

  • 1 1/2 to 2 pounds skirt, flank, or flap steak
  • Carne Asada Fries

    • 1 28-ounce bag frozen fries
    • 1 to 2 cups shredded cheese
    • 1 cup pico de gallo
    • 1/2 cup sour cream
    • 1/2 cup guacamole
    • Chopped cilantro, optional for topping
    • 1 jalapeno, sliced, optional for topping

Instructions

  1. Carne Asada Marinade – Combine all marinade ingredients. Marinate meat for at least 4 hours, up to 24 hours.
  2. Carne Asada – Broil meat for 4-6 minutes per side until desired doneness. Let rest before slicing.
  3. Fries – Bake fries, then assemble with carne asada and cheese. Bake until cheese is melted. Top with guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, cilantro, and jalapenos if desired. Serve and enjoy!
