These Baked Goat Cheese Balls are a delightful appetizer or snack that pairs creamy goat cheese with a crispy breadcrumb coating. They are easy to make and perfect for entertaining!

Ingredients:
- 8 ounces goat cheese
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
- salt & pepper to taste
- hot honey, optional
- fresh herbs, optional
Instructions
- Divide the goat cheese into 16 pieces and gently shape into balls. Place in freezer for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line small baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In three separate bowls, place your flour, egg, and panko bread crumbs.
- Beat the egg lightly with a fork.
- Add a bit of fresh ground salt & pepper to panko crumbs and stir to mix.
- Roll a goat cheese ball in the flour, completely coating.
- Next roll the cheese ball into the beaten egg, coating completely again.
- Finally, roll the cheese ball in the Panko bread crumbs, completely coating.
- Place cheese ball on parchment lined baking sheet.
- Repeat with remaining goat cheese balls.
- If desired, spray with a light coat of olive oil cooking spray for extra crispiness.
- Bake at 400ºF for 12 minutes, or until golden brown. (If they’re not quite browned enough, you can turn the oven to broil for a minute or two).
- If desired, drizzle with hot honey (or just regular honey), and garnish with fresh herbs.
