Description
These 5-minute air fryer donuts made from flaky biscuit dough are a quick and delicious treat topped with a rich chocolate ganache glaze. Perfect for a speedy dessert or breakfast indulgence, they come together effortlessly using your air fryer and require minimal ingredients.
Ingredients
Scale
Donuts
- 1 can flaky large biscuits
Chocolate Ganache Glaze
- 2/3 cup chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Prepare the biscuit donuts: Remove the biscuits from the can and separate them. Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet to prepare for cutting.
- Cut the donut holes: Using a 1-inch circle cookie cutter, cut out holes from the center of each biscuit to form donut shapes.
- Air fry the donuts: Arrange 4 donuts in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking and golden-brown color.
- Make the chocolate ganache glaze: While the donuts bake, combine chocolate chips and heavy cream in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. If not fully melted, microwave for an additional 30 seconds and stir again until smooth. Set aside.
- Glaze the donuts: Once the donuts are cooked, dip each donut into the chocolate ganache to coat. Place them back on the parchment-lined baking sheet. Optionally, top with sprinkles or golden Wilton stars. Serve immediately for best enjoyment.
Notes
- These biscuit donuts are best enjoyed fresh and warm right after glazing.
- Use parchment paper in the air fryer basket for easy cleanup.
- Donuts can be flipped carefully with tongs to maintain their shape during cooking.
- You can customize toppings with nuts, powdered sugar, or different sprinkles as desired.
